This venue located in Concourse C offers two ambiances, a front quick grab counter and a quieter, sit-down ambiance for a reprieve in the hectic Nashville airport. Everything here is from the Southern part of somewhere, either South Tennessee, South Nashville, South New Orleans, or South Caribbean. I enjoyed the sloooow-cooked beef brisket served with a coleslaw for a great sutdy in contrasting tastes. I think that the yogurt parfait must be from Southern California. They also have salads, sandwiches, and soup of the day. The sit-down venue is just off the hectic airport corridor with accessible tables and chairs, and a wall of photos that give a restaurant ambiance.

One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. I have a severe gluten allergy and had had 3 restaurants in terminal D turn me down. When I got here I talked who the hostess who immediately grabbed her manager and he went over with me all the options and ways he could accommodate me. He said they do have a shared grill and fryer but he could make any burger or chicken sandwich on a separate pan for me and lettuce wrapped. I sat at the bar and had the most fantastic experience. The bartender, Andrew, provided excellent service and helped me come up with a side I could have as well. Andrew was on top of having my water filled too. After my meal the manager came up to me and made sure that everything was good. It is so hard to find gluten free captioning the airport but this restaurant made options for me. The best part of my whole experience is that I’m severely allergic to gluten and I did not get sick!

I've eaten at airport restaurants for the last 20 years. Some are just completely horrible in quality and service. THIS particular one inside the Nashville Airport is a JEWEL. They are incredibly great! I ordered a steak and I gotta tell ya. It was the BEST steak I've ever eaten at ANY restaurant. The best. I sure hope you guys will build a this restaurant here in Texas.

Katie was amazing! She recommended the tacos for breakfast and they were spot on! Her service was, for the lack of a better word, perfect! And she has a friendly personality as well. It was a pleasure having breakfast here. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through Nashville.

After a grueling travel day how nice it was to get a quick snack from The Southern Steak & Oyster! The restaurant was bright and cheery and the staff was great handling our takeout order (order at the bar). We could have eaten at the bar if we wanted to! The fried Brussels sprouts (12) were so delicious with a mild chili sauce to give them a bit of heat. This was complemented nicely by the chive mashed potatoes (7)! Not bad for airport prices. 5 Stars! Located at the end of the short Concourse D (around D6). Worth the short walk. No line to get in and place our order.

OMG!!! So delicious!! Excellent bar food in an airport.... really?! Excellent customer service from Zack and Andrew! Great recommendations. Southern hospitality that I'm not used to being a Cali girl. I started with a Fennario IPA by Jackalope Brewery (local) in a frosted glass and then had the BBQ'd Shrimp appetizer with a side of collard greens. Sooo delicious with a touch of SOS (hot sauce)!! I really can't believe that I'm having this in an airport. Wish I had time to visit the area, I'm sure I would not be disappointed.

My flight has been delayed for about an hour or so. I decided to stop in across from my gate at this brilliant spot. The decor, music, food, and atmosphere made time slow down and prompted me to take in the moment. I enjoyed perfect service from Carly while indulging in the T for Texas. Accompanied by the SOS hot sauce, blackberry BBQ sauce and a blackberry Tea. The Texas toast! The brisket! The seasoned over medium egg! Everything I wouldn’t expect from an airport restaurant (and I’m a chef). Thanks yall. The service is well appreciated.

The food was very good we had a lot of people at our table. Our Waiter was Elijah he was very helpful he handled everything perfect. He took our orders and there was no problems and he knew which food went to who. It was nice having a waiter that made sure we had everything we needed.
